Students Put on Science Show

As part of an effort to generate interest and excitement for science, the students in the Experimental Science class at Johnson Creek High School recently put on a science show for the third graders from Johnson Creek Elementary.   Third grade teachers Angie Hoffman, Lyssa Braunschweig and Paula Wolter brought their classes to the high school for 45 minutes of fun and exciting demonstrations.  Experimental Science is a class created by science teachers Joe Brown and Brian Zachgo to give students the opportunity to explore science through projects and experiments working as individuals or teams. 

Johnson Creek High School Art Students bring home five medals from the 2013 Trailways Conference Art Show

Julie Gross-Art Teacher, and Brett Perucco-Photography Teacher facilitated the Johnson Creek students at the Markesan hosted conference wide annual art show last week.

Olivia Heckel earned a 1st place for her oil painting and 2nd place for her mixed media.

Raven Deutsch earned a 2nd place for her wire sculpture.

Caitlin Purpi earned a 4th place for her photograph.

Breanna Heinz earned a 4th place for her watercolor painting.

The following students were also chosen to participate in the art show.

Megan Lamke, Lindsey Goetz, Alexis Henningsen, Logan Heuter, Elena Barron, Adam Apkarian, Lauren Vinsant, Sydney Algiers, Jesse White, Kyle Stewart, Samantha Woodward, Kimberly Jablonski, Kyle Stewart, Eddie Rivera and Christian Avalos.

The artwork from these Johnson Creek Art Students will be available to view at the school's annual high school spring band concert later this month.

Driver Education

There will be a Driver's Ed instructor from AAA in the library during lunch on the following dates: 4/4/13,  4/19/13, 4/26/13, 5/10/13, 5/22/13, and 5/29/13. Students interested in signing up for Driver's Ed. may meet with him for more information.
