REC Medal League Volleyball
Registration is now open for REC Medal League Volleyball!
The MEDAL LEAGUE is a program for young volleyball players who would like to have fun learning skills and getting involved in competition against players at their own skill level. Rules have been altered to accommodate players so that success can be had by all. Each level will participate in tournaments against other area schools. Our volleyball coaches, alumni and high school players are all eager to help teach the fundamentals of volleyball and get acquainted with you.
Girls in 5th - 8th grade are eligible to participate in a traveling volleyball league. The registration fee is $40 and includes a t-shirt.
Each week a tournament is held, a total of 5 weekends, at area schools on the following Sunday afternoons: Feb 23 (not Copper) March 2, 9, 16 and 23.
Area communities in the program have been Lake Mills, Sun Prairie, Edgerton, Wisconsin Heights, Lodi, Waterloo, Sauk Prairie, Marshall, Beaver Dam and Juneau to name a few. Teams referee for each other.
A requirement is that we host a minimum of two Tournaments and have 2 nets available. The window for time commitment when we host has been from 12:00 to 4:00.
We will need parents at each grade level to commit to helping coach, coordinate or volunteer for practices and tournaments. Practices will be set by volunteer coaches. The serving line and net height are altered for specific grade levels to give players a higher chance to succeed.
The deadline for registration and payment is January 31, 2025. Any registrations received after this date will incur a $20 late fee. Once again, register early.
